In our perfect ways. In the ways we are beautiful. In the ways we are human. We are here. Happy New Year in Advance. Let’s make it ours, by setting some resolutions and goals for ourselves this year. The meaning of resolution is "a firm decision to do or to not do something." If you create a firm decision about something then you want to also take action and set a deadline for yourself, in other words, set a goal for the upcoming year!
So, here are some Goals and Resolutions to consider for yourself:
Learn at least 3 new skills:
Upskilling is very important to keep up with the world around us. On average it takes 4-5 months to learn a skill. So, pick some courses and get started.
Resources for best courses: Coursera, freecodecamp, udemy.
Read at least 15 pages Everyday:
Reading is the best way to gain knowledge, improve your vocabulary and communication, reduce stress and a lot more. Reading 15 pages every day will sum up to 5475 pages a year, and that's a lot.
Books for beginners: Beginner Books
Exercise 4-5 days a week:
We all know the benefits of exercising, it helps control weight, improves mental and physical health, better digestion and much more. It helps you focus on your task and sets a better mindset to work on daily chores.
Exercise for beginners: 20 min exercise
Inculcate good habits:
We all have some or the other bad habits, habits are not broken or developed in a day or a week, it may take days, months or sometimes years. But all it needs is a start and some serious commitment. So let’s break bad habits and develop some good habits this year.
Digital Detox:
It’s estimated that an average person spends 7-8 hours in front of screens. We spend hours scrolling social media. So, cut out some time from unnecessary things and relax, detox your mind.
Set some goals for this year:
All of us have some dreams and goals, but we don't take the right steps and action towards them, so write down some Goals and the steps and actions you would take to achieve them.
We all set new year resolutions but very often fail to keep up with them. This happens mainly because they are only a statement, or what we wish for in the coming year. There are usually no action plans, no deadlines, no backup plans to our resolutions. Sometimes they are unrealistic and oversimplified resolutions, with no other thought or plans besides the statement. We need to take up the right steps and it needs dedication and patience.
So, write down the things you want to change this year and set some resolutions!
Thank you for Reading.
