The Biggest Advice that I would give my Younger Self!

The Biggest Advice that I would give my Younger Self!

Hey you!

Its so weird that I was you yesterday! I’ve changed, we have changed or should I say grown? ;) I’m sure you’re having a good time. I’m having a great time too. An incident happened a few days back which got me into thinking and made me act upon that.

A few days back our lecturer in college asked all of us, ‘What is beautiful according to us. Everyone answered as to what they think is beautiful. Hundred students and Hundred different answers. (I had answered sky and he called me a dreamer :P) After that he said what he thinks is beautiful, and his answer was ‘Sense organs. That made me think, What is the beauty if we cannot sense it? How grateful should I be for having a perfectly functioning organs? The thoughts didn’t stop there. The cool breeze that touches me, smell of the wet soil after it rains, the glorious nature and of course the sky that I see, chirping birds that I hear in the morning, All these are so overwhelming and nothing but a pure blessing.

“The more grateful I am, the more beauty I see.” - Mary Davis

There are so many things around us for which we should remain grateful, and if we start writing it down, the list will just go on and on and on. I know you are too young to understand all this, but I also want you to know that you are very fortunate for innumerable reasons around you. Fortunate that you exist to enjoy everything.

All you have to do is acknowledge and to experience this with that every breath you take in. Take a moment and be thankful for all these teeny tiny things. Be nice and kind to people. Keep that thought of gratitude intact always. That immense joy will be boundless.
